Heretic is here to disrupt the status quo and for those looking for something different. Since founding Heretic in L.A. in 2015, Douglas Little has carved out a niche for his modern and exceptional collection of unisex fragrances. The only child of professional photographers, Douglas began developing his olfactory talent in preschool, earning a dollar every time he correctly identified the scent of lavender and other plants. Years later, when Douglas realized there was upheaval happening everywhere - GMOs in food, parabens in creams and aluminum in deodorants were being banned, only the fragrance industry remained hidden - he wanted to create something different: a fragrance company that was authentic, sustainable and radically transparent - who they are, what they make and how they make it. Douglas sees in natural elements and plants a unique beauty that cannot be imitated. While other companies hide toxic or synthetic substances under the words "fragrance" or "perfume," Heretic is more than proud to share their ingredients openly and fully. But it's not just about the "clean"-ness, botanical aspects or fragrance profiles of the perfumes, but also the holistic aspects. Douglas describes nature as wild, provocative, sensual, spiritual, serene and passionate. It has a powerful therapeutic effect, which is expressed in his creations through his combination of conventional perfumery and the Ayurvedic, healing and aromatherapeutic properties of natural extracts.
