Invisible Post – Summer of Love. A journey along the hippie trails, leaving behind a cultural earthquake - the destruction of the values of the old generation and a new awareness of freedom, sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. A journey with colorful VW buses, to places around the world. A journey between Europe, Machu Picchu, and Kathmandu, with the core of community and freedom. The start unfolds in a citrusy, fruity-fresh anticipation of something better, something boundless - freedom and love, paired in petitgrain, green fig, and mandarin. At the heart of the hippies, the slightly sour-green flower child accentuates an inner awakened love. Arriving at the next hotspot or music festival, the aromatic base notes bloom - a spicy-woody note completed by an earthy sweetness. Meanwhile, the only communication within the community - the Invisible Post. It remains a defining era and an even more captivating scent. The result - playful, sparkling, and woody.

Top notes: Petitgrain, Green Fig, Mandarin Heart notes: Palm Leaf, Black Currant, Cyclamen Base notes: Sandalwood, Virginian Cedarwood, Tonka Bean

Hinter dem Duft

Johan Bergelin: “Summer of Love was a social phenomenon that occurred during the summer of 1967. A cultural earthquake determined to trash the previous generation’s old values and embrace a new consciousness of freedom, sex, drugs and rock’n’roll. The search for enlightenment led the flower children to travel to places like Machu Picchu and Kathmandu using decorated, colorful Volkswagen buses. Ideas on the next hotspot or music festival were collectively shared within the hippie community by the Invisible Post.

Invisible Post Fragrance Journey - The Manifestation of Love The girl wore a long flowing skirt, gipsy-style. No bra of course, but a long crocheted vest layered on top of her blouse. Her male friend’s long hair and beard teamed with worn jeans that flared out from below the knee into a large bell shape. She gazed through the shop window of the small travel agency, and pointed her index finger at one of the posters. “Yes, this is it, the Magic Buses. Starting out from Amsterdam, this one takes us across the Bosphorus, then Afghanistan and on to India.” Contemplating, he blew a few times into his pan flute. “Well, yes. Or we could join our Danish friends, they are driving the route via Damascus.”A few weeks later, the duo visited the legendary Pudding Shop. The Turkish owner Karim served tea with plenty of sugar in tulip-shaped glasses and tangerines and green figs fresh from the market. With the grand view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia as a backdrop, a rock band played as fellow travelers scrutinized the bulletin board looking for notes and messages. Then came early spring. With Kelim rugs and antique wooden treasures balancing on the roof, the vehicle raced through the untouched nature, stopping occasionally for a refreshing dip in a mountain spring. Packed in the colorful bus, everyone joined the mustached driver who took the lead when singing. There were not many cars around, but horse carts decorated with little bells and men riding donkeys kicking both their legs. “This is the loveliest place I’ve been to in my entire life.” she said. “The sunshine, the hospitable nomad people, the golden mosque cupolas and the music. It is like a manifestation of love everywhere. I can really see us settling here for a few months before going to India.”

19-69 Nineteen Sixtynine

The perfume cult brand 19-69 was founded by Swedish artist and product developer Johan Bergelin.  A twenty-four-month creative process with artisans in Scandinavia, France, and Italy led to the launch of 5 perfumes in 2017. Each fragrance is inspired by a different era, culture, or backdrop from Africa, Europe, the USA, and Asia. Art, music, trends, and cultures have shaped the fragrances in terms of content, name, and packaging. All fragrances are suitable for any gender and allow individuals to discover beauty across borders. Johan Bergelin: "The name of the brand 19-69 is a very strong statement. The year 1969 represents an era of freedom, tolerance, and counterculture. It is also the year I was born and my way of wearing my heart on my sleeve and saying: This is real. This is who I am."
