Green Cedar by Abel captivates particularly with the intense, full scent of green cedar, which hints at light notes of wild cedarwood. The fragrance combines cedarwood from two different origins: part of the harvest comes from the forests of Texas, while the other part comes from the wild heights of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains. The double distillation gives the Texas cedar a dry, clean note, which is rarely found in a cedar fragrance. In contrast, the Moroccan cedar presents rich, sweet scent notes. Additionally, there is the surprising scent of natural magnolia, cypriol, cardamom, and smoky guaiac wood. The result is an intoxicating, distinctive olfactory experience.

"Green Cedar was the sixth fragrance that Isaac and I worked on together and it really feels like a coming of age scent to me. We weren’t trying too hard, it was playful, free-flowing and explorative. We started with some of our favourite ingredients - cedarwood, magnolia, cardamom and just went from there. Some of my favourite moments were deep diving the unique terroir of these special ingredients from different regions, cultivated by different hands. The wild harvested Moroccan cedarwood smells like Morocco looks - vibrant and powerful, so we chose to pair it with a Texan cedarwood that is extremely pure in profile and a by-product of the paper industry - a harmonious juxtaposition.

Abel was founded in 2013 in Amsterdam by former winemaker and New Zealander Frances Shoemack, after her search for a natural scent that is chic, modern, and long-lasting had failed.
