Josh Meyer, the mind behind the Portland-based label Imaginary Authors, has never liked the sound of conformist perfume ideas and has always had negative associations with the world of scents in his mind. Until one day he received some perfume samples that sparked a years-long search and experimentation that ultimately led him into the world of niche perfumes. This prompted him to hang up his real estate career and create his own unique fragrance line, which can be compared like a wine tasting. Thus, Imaginary Authors was born, a collection of unique scents that emerged from the concept of perfume as art and art as provocation. Like a good book, each perfume is meant to inspire. Inside the bottles are layered stories that provoke thought, scents that can change the course of one's own story. They will not only invigorate and intoxicate but also transport you to new places. Each perfume from Imaginary Authors follows a captivating story with fascinating twists. These are scents to cozy up with, to share with friends, to take anywhere, and to return to time and again for a unique experience. Imaginary Authors firmly believes that creativity is the best tool we have to solve systemic problems in the industry, in the community, and in the world at large.
