The Nourishing Body Cream was developed to provide deep moisture and revitalize as well as soothe the skin. It banishes dryness and dullness, makes the skin soft and supple, and gives it new elasticity. The pampering, moisturizing formula contains shea butter and plant oils such as jojoba, grape seed, and vegetable squalane. Black pepper and the highly effective terpene beta-caryophyllene have anti-inflammatory effects and help to alleviate irritation. The clean, citrusy scent has a subtle undercurrent of jasmine and invigorates the nerves.

Suitable for: All skin types

Used as: Nourishing body cream

The black pepper oil obtained from peppercorns has the same warm, spicy aroma. It has anti-inflammatory properties and is applied locally to relieve pain. Additionally, it is rich in antioxidants that protect the skin from environmental damage. Shea butter is a fat derived from the shea tree, which is native to West Africa. It is considered a superfood for the skin, rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, and is known for its ability to nourish and soften even the driest and most irritated skin. Shea butter has been used for centuries both cosmetically and medicinally (as a healing and soothing application). Beta-Caryophyllene (BCP) is a terpene commonly found in spices and herbs such as black pepper and cannabis. Its main benefit is that it triggers a response from the CB2 receptor (cannabinoid receptor) in the body, which is associated with pain and other inflammatory pathways. In addition to its mechanism of action on the endocannabinoid system (ECS), it has been shown to have a wide range of benefits on other chemical pathways in the body. Besides promoting a healthy inflammatory response, beta-caryophyllene has also been shown to have pain-relieving properties. This means it can directly alleviate discomfort by blocking certain pain receptors in the body. Due to its pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties, beta-caryophyllene can be used for various skin issues. It can help not only with problems like acne and skin inflammation but can also be used for cuts, wounds, and general physical pain.

Nature of Things

Drawn from nature and confirmed by science. This is the philosophy of the modern wellness house Natureofthings. Founded in 2019 by JP Collett and Jamie Leilani Pelayo in Newport Beach, California, they aim to create harmony between mind, body, and the natural world, drawing on the wisdom of nature. With formulas that are equally curative and preventive, their approach is based on the pursuit of holistic well-being. They not only value ingredients but also hold themselves and their partners to the highest standards in every aspect of production, creating each product without demographic constraints. The origin of their name is inspired by the poem "De Rerum Natura" (translated as "Nature of Things"), written around 50 BC by the Roman poet Lucretius, in which he states that the removal of pain and fear allows people to live a truly pleasant life. And that is exactly what Natureofthings aims to achieve with their line. They use natural and safe ingredients that have been shown to alleviate stress, anxiety, pain, and inflammation, calm the mind, and beautify the skin. They believe it is right to feel good, but they know that quick fixes and fast answers are not enough to achieve this goal. Caring for oneself is a daily endeavor. It means tuning into the rhythms of one's own body and those of the world around you. It means being present in the moment to create a healthier foundation for the future. Of course, Natureofthings does not claim these ideas as its own. They are practically as old as time. Yet they are powerful and true.
