Fuller's Earth, or fuller's earth, is a clay-like form of aluminum silicate that has been used for centuries for its natural ability to absorb dirt and oil. Today, it is used as an absorbent and thickening agent in many personal care products. Applied to the skin and scalp, Fuller's Earth provides a gentle exfoliation and helps remove dead skin and scales. Rhassoul clay is a brown clay found only in a valley in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The term "rhassoul" comes from an Arabic word meaning "to wash." Sometimes called Moroccan red clay or ghassoul clay, rhassoul clay is a type of stevensite, a magnesium-rich clay that also contains other minerals and has been used as a cosmetic ingredient by various cultures for over a thousand years. Rhassoul clay is rich in metallic elements that carry a negative charge. This magnetic energy attracts and bonds with positively charged toxins, so when the clay is washed away, the toxins are said to be carried away with it. For this reason, rhassoul clay is used as a detoxifier for skin and hair. Rhassoul clay contains silica, a component of sand. It also contains natural silicon dioxide, which can act as an exfoliant and give hair a shiny sheen. Extracted from the Luffa Cylindrica plant (a relative of the cucumber), Luffa Cylindrica seed oil is rich in flavonoids, which make it a powerful antioxidant that, when applied topically, helps protect hair and skin from environmental damage. It is also a soothing emollient oil and is said to promote wound healing thanks to its high arginine content.

Nature of Things

Derived from nature, and backed by science. This is the philosophy of modern wellness house Natureofthings. Founded in 2019 by JP Collett and Jamie Leilani Pelayo in Newport Beach California, their mission, rooted in the enduring wisdom of nature, is to create harmony and synchronicity between mind, body and the natural world. With formulas being equal parts curative and preventative, their approach is based in the endeavor of holistic wellbeing. Not only are the origins of the ingredients important to them, but they also hold themselves and their partners to the highest possible standard in every regard of production, and create each product without any demographic in mind. The origin of their name takes inspiration from a didactic poem "De Rerum Natura," (translating to "Nature of Things") written around 50 B.C. by Roman poet Lucretius, in which he determines that eliminating pain and fear is what allowed for people to truly live an enjoyable life. And so that’s what Natureofthings sought out to do with their line by incorporating naturally derived, safe ingredients proven to help ease stress, anxiety, pain and inflammation while calming the mind and beautifying the skin. They believe it is right to feel good, but know that fast answers and quick fixes won’t get you there. Taking care of oneself is a daily practice. It means tuning in to the rhythms of our own bodies as well as those of the world around us. It means being present in the moment to lay a more healthful foundation for the future. Of course, Natureofthings does not take credit for these ideas. They are practically as old as time. Yet they are powerful and true.
