Block 004 – Repair + Nourish

Summer 2018, a bottle of wine in a shared flat in Hamburg and plastic waste in the bathroom. Thus was born the idea of plastic-free care alternatives by Mar Navajas Garcia and Natalie Richter. The two brains behind Terrorists of Beauty were already testing plastic-free alternatives available on the market, when they came up with the idea: A better and more convincing solution is needed to get as many people as possible to see bar soap as a real, effective alternative to conventional skin care products. The fight against the outdated standards of the globalized beauty industry began. Their idea: natural, vegan, plastic and palm oil free unisex soaps for hair, body and face handmade in Germany. Their logo, the mathematical symbol for a logical consequence, is similar to their consistency in their ingredients. Each soap consists of four to maximum 15 natural ingredients. The recipe is based on the saponification of spring water and high-quality vegetable oils, a complex cold-stirring process with the help of caustic soda, a natural ripening process lasting several weeks and a traditional Indian process in which Ayurvedic essences in the forms of natural plants and herbal extracts are created over several days. After the first waves of orders and a lot of positive feedback, it was soon clear to them: Terrorists Of Beauty is not a temporary sustainability project but rather, in its uncompromising nature, what many people had been waiting for. Originally planned as an art and eco-project, the initiative became a tangible anti-brand within a few months. In order to be able to continue to act in a radically natural way in the future, they are denying investor funds. Instead, Terrorists Of Beauty believes in sustainable, organic growth and authentic customer support. They and their soaps are aimed at everyone who wants a more sustainable and beautiful world and wants to reduce the bathroom without compromise.
