In the cafés and parks along the grand boulevard, the dernier cri is the curiously soft and milky fragrance of an exotic plant with an outlandish name. A flower rediscovered by WienerBlut. One of the few fresh iris notes!

Fragrance notes:Calabrian Bergamot, Green Mandarin, Moroccan Rose, Iris de Florence, Iris de France, Heliotrope, Tonka

Behind the Fragrance

An old formula with a mysterious name was the starting point for this journey of discovery, during which the story of a long-forgotten flower was brought back to life. At the turn of the century, the plant "Volkameria Fragrans" lent its name to some of the bouquets of major perfume houses, but was quickly forgotten again - probably because it does not grow in our latitudes, but is native to tropical regions. In order to decode the scent of the exotic Volkameria Fragrans, seedlings were flown to Vienna and allowed to bloom. The composition is strongly based on the floral, powdery theme of the original formula and is one of the few fresh iris notes on the market today. A hint of green mandarin in the top note, creamy, powdery hints of white chocolate in the heart.

Wienerblut

Wienerblut was founded in 2008 in Vienna by Alexander Lauber. Lauber spent much time in antique shops, at flea markets and in the archives of the Hofburg to find and collect information about perfume from Vienna at the time of K.u.K. Reich and also acquired, among other things, old cosmetics sets owned by the Habsburg family. WienerBlut believes that great fragrances are like treasured secrets, giving the most pleasure to those who carry them. The formulas are built to whisper, not to shout. Listen carefully to the stories they tell. They love the complexity of natural raw materials and use them generously. The high amount of natural raw materials causes the fragrances to develop dynamically for hours. This is intended and a quality characteristic. The fragrances do not become "less", they change and become one with the wearer. They believe luxury is a result of seasoned craftsmanship, fine materials and timeless design. The bottles are made especially for us in a small European manufactory. Because of the hand finishing, each bottle will charm you with individual irregularities. The caps are made of ivory bakelite, a material most notably used in the early nineteen hundreds. Because the production is costly and takes time, bakelite has become a rare good. WienerBlut love its smooth, warm touch and organic surface feel.
