Abel was founded in 2013 in Amsterdam by former winemaker and New Zealander Frances Shoemack, after her search for a natural scent that is chic, modern, and long-lasting had failed. In collaboration with São Paulo-based master perfumer Isaac Sinclair, she develops a selection of natural unisex perfumes that are not only made from 100% natural ingredients but are also uncompromisingly modern and long-lasting. Enjoyment should not have negative impacts on the earth and its inhabitants, say the two. They believe in the ability to enrich daily life in a way that has never been done before. Instead of suppressing personality with constant intensity, the beauty of all natural ingredients is that they develop on the skin and work with natural body chemistry to create a unique scent. A scent that will continuously evolve throughout the day. Abel lives on the skin until it fades after a while. Their great goal is to connect the pleasant world of perfume with the conscious simplicity of nature.
