"A rich and comforting take on orange blossom, inspired by the traditional pastries of the Levant. In Néroli Hasbaya, the luminous flower is delicately infused with a subtle, regressive sweetness.” –Véronique Le Bihan, founder
“Orange blossom evokes tenderness, comfort, and the radiant warmth of the summer sun. This flower holds a special place in my heart, and I sought to pair it with the indulgence of freshly roasted pistachios and hazelnuts. My aim was to craft a fragrance that is both addictive and irresistibly light and airy." –Céline Perdriel, perfumer
ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS USED
"In the Khemisset and Gharb Plain regions of Morocco, the Mediterranean climate is perfect for growing bigaradier trees. Our local partner, a member of the UEBT, supports sustainable practices, organic farming and support women empowerment. Only open flowers, not buds, are handpicked and carefully sorted. A selective extraction process preserves the distinct top and heart notes of the ingredient, highlighting the delicate freshness and sunny floral, citrus, green, and honeyed notes of the blossom.
In the Nabeul region of Tunisia, the neroli flowers are picked by hand from April to May by farmers. Large cotton sheets are spread on the ground around the trees to prevent the falling flowers from being damaged. Each picker can harvest 6 to 8 kg of flowers per day.
We have sourced Peru balsam from the southern coast of El Salvador, the only region in the world where it can be extracted. The extraction process requires genuine expertise passed down through generations. Only mature trees, at least 60 years old, are used. The bark is carefully removed with a machete, and the trunk is then partially burned. Our partner, a member of the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), works with over a hundred Balsameros. The Peru balsam we source is 100% pure and natural, offering balsamic, round, cinnamic, dried fruit, vanilla, and sweet notes with hints of chocolate." – Atelier Materi
