Mojave Ghost - Eau de Parfum by Byredo is a woody composition with a delicate, graceful character, whose true intensity unfolds only slowly. Heavy top notes of musky Indian hibiscus, combined with sweet, refreshing Jamaican nessberry. Initially, a delicate, powdery violet scent unfolds, transitioning into the pleasant, long-lasting fragrance of sandalwood, brightened by fresh magnolia. Finally, a warm note of Chantilly musk rounds off the base note of zesty amber and elegant cedarwood, leaving a veil of Mojave Ghost.

Hinter dem Duft

The Mojave Desert, a vast expanse in the western United States, is a land of extreme climates and extremely resilient flora. The beauty of this prehistoric landscape, whose name comes from the Native American language and means "beyond the water," has a calming effect on some people and a downright threatening effect on others. The ghost flower, which blooms every year in this hostile environment, is a rare species of plant whose pale, almost transparent petals make the plant appear delicate and delicate, yet this amazing plant thrives where one would expect no life. Its ethereal appearance belies its power and natural character. Despite the barren environment in which it thrives and the fact that it does not produce nectar, the ghost flower, or Mohavea Confertiflora, maintains its perfect, majestic beauty and blooms every year. The flower uses mimicry with astonishing ingenuity to deceive pollinators. Resembling a plant growing in the neighborhood that female bees like to visit, the ghost flower attracts the male bee and allows itself to be pollinated by him. This touching, human-like behavior and the exciting story of its survival are the basis of the inspiration for Mojave Ghost, Byredo's latest perfume, a tribute to this absolutely enchanting flower. A woody composition with a delicate, graceful character, whose true intensity only reveals itself slowly.

Byredo

Byredo was founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham in Stockholm, with the aim of translating the feeling of memories and emotions into the form of an everyday product. As the son of an Indian mother and a Canadian father, Ben grew up in Toronto, New York, and Stockholm. He graduated from the Stockholm School of Arts with a degree in Fine Arts, but a chance encounter with the perfumer Pierre Wulff convinced him that he would rather create scents than paintings.  As an outsider in the beauty industry, he is a certain anomaly and has carved out a unique position in the market for his personal style and connection to fashion and art. In contrast to the typically Scandinavian aesthetic, Byredo clearly carries ethnic influences from Ben's Indian background with a strong attachment to creativity, art, and lifestyle. Byredo's approach of letting creations be guided by emotions is expressed through the complete and limitless universe of products. The development of each individual product takes place exclusively using the highest quality materials available and high-quality design details. According to Ben Gorham, creativity allows one to create timeless products that are both meaningful and inspiring for people and their lives. Through this fundamental idea, Byredo is reinventing the world of luxury.
