Oud fragrances

Oud, also known as agarwood, is a very valuable and rare resin used in perfumes and comes from the heartwood of the Aquilaria tree. When the tree is attacked by a certain type of mold, it produces the dark, fragrant resin as a defense mechanism. Oud has been valued for centuries, particularly in Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian cultures, for its rich, woody and smoky scent.

Historically, oud has been used in religious ceremonies, traditional medicine, and as a personal perfume. In modern perfumery, it is one of the most expensive ingredients and is often used in luxury perfumes because of its deep, complex aroma.
