Atelier Oblique

In search of new ways of expression, designer Mario Lombardo founded the fragrance house Atl. Oblique in Berlin in 2016 to capture his life and childhood memories in olfactory chords. The name Oblique is derived from the French term for "italic", a slanted font, and thus builds bridges between the fragrance house and Lombardo's design roots. In his work, Lombardo playfully transcends stylistic boundaries and dares to straddle a wide variety of disciplines, often seemingly incompatible with one another, thus creating new connections in language, space, aesthetics and material. Composed in the French perfume cities of Grasse and Paris and handcrafted in Germany, the fragrances follow the highest standards of content and design in the spirit of the Bauhaus philosophy. In addition to unique fragrance compositions, the unisex eau de parfum line is characterized by small editions and simple packaging design.
