John Pegg, the founder of Kerosene and perfumer, promised to create a vanilla scent one day. Initially hesitant, as it had been done a million times before, the day finally came. Unlike his namesake, the song by Naked Eyes from 1983, John promises that you can trust his words: Something that has been started is finished. Believe it.
And thus, Promises, Promises was born. Vanilla with amber and musk to create the ultimate creamy-deep dream, that takes you to a distant land without sorrow and pain.

Hinter dem Duft

"Kerosene, will you please make a vanilla scent?! A - Vanilla scent? It's been done a million times! Kerosene, I don't care, please make one! I promise, one day I will. Unlike the song from 1983, you can trust my words: Finished is something started. Believe it." – John Pegg

Kerosene Fragrances

Kerosene Fragrances is a US indie perfume label founded by John Pegg. John is anything but an ordinary perfumer. Growing up in Michigan, not far from Motor City Detroit, his entry into the working world first took him to the factory halls of the automotive industry. There he encountered a variety of smells and was fascinated: oil, gasoline, pressed steel, plastic, but also the scent of the rugged nature of his homeland with its trees and earth. However, John took his first steps into the world of perfume not with his own creations, but with fragrance reviews on his YouTube channel. Soon he realized that he not only wanted to talk about perfumes but also create them himself. Coming from North America, with its long, cold winters, John is particularly drawn to warmer fragrance notes. Amber, woods, and spices often find their way into his repertoire. Not only does he create the scents himself, but the design of the bottles also comes from him. Each bottle is a unique piece and is hand-painted and stamped. John describes himself as a simple person, but his fragrances are quite the opposite – raw and unique, yet always approachable.
