Absinth explores different degrees of hysteria. He plays with the allure of irresponsible behavior. The most luxurious form of madness – an escape from reality that begins with a giggle and leads directly to the center of hysteria, where the true meaning of life lies.
Absinth spills from a shot glass, the scent of sweet wormwood with a herbal hint of vetiver wafts through the open window overlooking a dense forest.  Green, bright, spicy, and earthy, then soft and embracing – this fragrance awakens all the senses and takes you on a journey of self-discovery.

The stopper on the bottle is made of very thick olive wood. The search and finding of the suitable wood density for making the stoppers is extremely labor-intensive.

Behind the Fragrance

This fragrance aims to evoke various degrees of hysteria and irresponsible behavior. It is dedicated to absinthe, a controversial spirit that was temporarily banned due to its ingredient thujone. This ketone, known to stimulate serotonin, emits an aromatic green scent and contains THC. This substance induces hallucinations and psychedelic effects and was used by the military during the war as a disinfectant and to boost the morale of soldiers. It is also found in plants of the genus Artemisia and is a component of various essential oils used in perfumery.

As a young perfumer, The Nose mixed thujone from the lab into his absinthe drinks to ensure the desired effect. He wanted to experience a different kind of intoxication that led to endless bursts of giggles and fits of hysterical laughter.

Absinthe, also known as 'la fée verte' (the green fairy), is a high-proof alcoholic beverage that originally comes from Switzerland. In the 19. Nasomatto

Nasomatto is an experimental olfactory platform founded in 2007 for The Nose – Alessandro Gualtieri.  Alessandro had a penchant for special scents since childhood, which is why he began combining various perfumes from well-known manufacturers (CK One, Gucci, Tom Ford, etc.) with everyday aromas while still in school. Various fragrance samples from different fashion magazines also helped him develop his sense for sometimes unusual, but always fragrant scents. Alessandro Gualtieri learned the basics of the perfume world in Germany. This acquired foundational knowledge, along with his passion for scents, led to the founding of Nasomatto. It was a breakout from previous professional activities that came with numerous restrictions. During his work for international companies and in creating fragrances for cleaning products to exclusive perfume brands, Alessandro was bound by specific instructions and trend forecasts that dictated what was 'in' and what was not in the current season. He felt restricted in his creativity and in conflict with the system.  To find distance from his past and to express himself more fully, Alessandro felt a pressing desire to become independent and launch his own brand. He chose the name 'Nasomatto' – Italian for 'crazy nose' – which had previously been given to him as a nickname within the perfume world. The Nose assigns a subordinate importance to fragrance pyramids and does not want to disclose the components he uses. He has great respect for the raw materials and believes that naming them restricts the experience of smelling and leads it in the wrong direction. In the past, perfume was considered a kind of magic potion, and its ingredients were kept strictly secret. The Nose wants to maintain this approach for his creations as well.  Each fragrance stands as an artistic, personal expression of the creator.
