Blamage was born by chance – a mistake that turned into success.
A perfume from which we draw a lesson: masterpieces often arise from chess.  Blamage tells of failure and of accepting that failure. A renewal of one's attitude.  The mistakes we make open the doors to progress and creativity.
Bright woods, musk, and citrus harmonize with soft floral and synthetic notes.  Blamage is the masterful consequence of a deliberate error – the scent of a perfect mistake.

The cap on the bottle is made of white lacquered hazelnut wood.
The shape and size of the cap may vary to express the irregularity and uniqueness of nature.

Behind the Fragrance

Blamage is an unwise and poorly executed creation that stems from poor judgment and a lack of care. This fragrance encompasses unmet expectations, failure, and the acceptance of failure. It is a creation that reveals the beauty in making mistakes, recognizing them, and moving on. You are who you are. It is a quest aimed at acknowledging one's own instincts, values, choices, and actions. A process during which the burning desire for perfection gradually dissolves.

For the creation of Blamage, The Nose chose ingredients almost with their eyes closed, which would form the base of the perfume. It was a challenge to make a mistake from the very first step. Blamage captures the process of self-acceptance, the freedom gained from realization. It is about renewing one's attitude. The mistakes we make are the key that opens the door to progress and creativity. Sometimes, a great work of art is born from a mistake. In this way, failure transforms into a fundamental contribution on the path to creating a masterpiece and achieving its success.

The cap on the bottle is made of white lacquered hazelnut wood. The shape and size of the cap can vary to express the irregularity and uniqueness of nature. The wood is cut in winter, then it is brushed and primed. Subsequently, various layers of white and transparent lacquer are applied to represent the transition from the inherently flawed to perfection. The packaging for Blamage is the result of a completely failed color choice and bears the amateurish digital handwriting of The Nose.

Nasomatto

Nasomatto is an experimental olfactory platform founded in 2007 for The Nose – Alessandro Gualtieri.  Alessandro had a penchant for special scents since childhood, which is why he began combining various perfumes from well-known manufacturers (CK One, Gucci, Tom Ford, etc.) with everyday aromas while still in school. Various fragrance samples from different fashion magazines also helped him develop his sense for sometimes unusual, but always fragrant scents. Alessandro Gualtieri learned the basics of the perfume world in Germany. This acquired foundational knowledge, along with his passion for scents, led to the founding of Nasomatto. It was a breakout from previous professional activities that came with numerous restrictions. During his work for international companies and in creating fragrances for cleaning products to exclusive perfume brands, Alessandro was bound by specific instructions and trend forecasts that dictated what was 'in' and what was not in the current season. He felt restricted in his creativity and in conflict with the system.  To find distance from his past and to express himself more fully, Alessandro felt a pressing desire to become independent and launch his own brand. He chose the name 'Nasomatto' – Italian for 'crazy nose' – which had previously been given to him as a nickname within the perfume world. The Nose assigns a subordinate importance to fragrance pyramids and does not want to disclose the components he uses. He has great respect for the raw materials and believes that naming them restricts the experience of smelling and leads it in the wrong direction. In the past, perfume was considered a kind of magic potion, and its ingredients were kept strictly secret. The Nose wants to maintain this approach for his creations as well.  Each fragrance stands as an artistic, personal expression of the creator.
