Seminalis is a stimulant, packaged in a fragrance bottle. Alessandro Gualtieri was inspired to create this by a study that demonstrated that human sperm can recognize certain scents. The female egg cells emit a scent that attracts the sperm cells.
Seminalis provides evidence that life originated thanks to scents and olfactory attraction. And this composition is a fragrance of life in the truest sense of the word. It contains Bourgeonal, an aromatic aldehyde that guides the sperm to the egg cell to create new life. The chemical attractant ensures that the sperm moves there at double speed. The watery fragrance substance resembles the aroma of lily of the valley and is perceived more by men than by women. From an olfactory perspective, Seminalis is an extremely animalistic scent with an exceptionally milky side that symbolizes the bodily secretions involved in the creation of life.
Seminalis sees itself as a significant contribution to the attraction between men and women and to the emergence of new life.
A PACKAGING THAT LEADS TO NEW DISCOVERIESAll fragrances from ORTO PARISI are hidden in a box that unfolds in individual facets and suggests an opening towards infinity in the center. The scent of Seminalis is housed in a glass bottle with a polished silver metal cap and an inlay of semi-transparent Bakelite. The label made of natural white paper has the texture of 'Savile Row Tweed' and features an extremely fine herringbone structure.
CENTRAL ASPECTS OF ORTO PARISI
PLEASANT versus STRICT SCENTSATTRACTION versus REPULSION
Two notes are present in all fragrances: 'PISSE DE CHEVAL' and 'BOYA BUTTER'. Boya butter is the butter from precious agarwood that forms in the heartwood of trees of the genus Aquilaria when they are infected with a special type of mold. The heartwood is odorless, thin, and light before infection. After infection, it turns dark and produces an extremely aromatic resin called Agar, also known as 'Oud'. First-grade agarwood is one of the most expensive natural raw materials in the world. The scent of agarwood is complex and enchanting, and there are hardly any other substances that come close to it. Behind the so-called 'pisse de cheval' lies the organic component p-Cresol, which is produced during the bacterial fermentation of human protein and is excreted with feces and urine. It is also a component of tobacco smoke and human sweat, which attracts female mosquitoes. In the Orto Parisi collection, p-Cresol plays a role in creating repulsive and attractive notes. It is a key component in the body odor of pigs and is produced during the mating season by male elephants. It is one of the rare components that attracts Euglossini – the so-called orchid bees – and has been extensively used in this context to capture and study the species. A repulsive attractant that brings the hidden scent of the soul to life. These two extremely subtly processed base components represent the contradiction between attraction and repulsion in a balanced combination with other raw materials. They invite those who smell the fragrances on an endless journey to discover life through the sense of smell.
