This toothpaste, approved by the Swedish Dental Association, contains 1100 ppm sodium fluoride and ensures brilliantly white and healthy teeth.

Hydrated Silica acts as a gentle abrasive that helps remove plaque and other particles from teeth while brushing. Abrasives like hydrated silica not only assist in removing plaque and food particles but also help eliminate stains, making them useful as whiteners in toothpaste. Mineralized Hydroxyapatite is a non-toxic and biocompatible alternative to fluoride that provides proactive care for sensitive teeth. Studies show that hydroxyapatite toothpaste is just as effective, with the added benefit of helping with tooth sensitivity. Hydroxyapatite is a form of calcium that makes up 97% of tooth enamel and nearly 70% of dentin. Hydroxyapatite is absorbed by the teeth and fills in the cracks in enamel caused by demineralization. This leads to benefits such as reduced tooth sensitivity and pain relief, lower risk of cavities, and remineralized and repaired teeth. Compared to fluoride, hydroxyapatite works by remineralizing enamel from the inside out, reaching the innermost part of a cavity and binding to proteins like bacteria during brushing to combat plaque. Sodium Bicarbonate has low abrasiveness but effectively removes the plaque biofilm, reduces the occurrence of bleeding and inflamed gums, and effectively whitens teeth, especially stains caused by food and drink.  It penetrates the plaque layer, disrupting the sticky polysaccharide matrix and loosening the structural integrity of the biofilm, thereby improving the physical removal of plaque. The natural amino acid betaine provides moisture and nourishment, while the anti-inflammatory limonene from citrus fruits and the antioxidant edelweiss extract promote bacterial balance and keep the gums healthy.

Selahatin was founded in 2016 by Kristoffer Vural and emerged from a crisis. Before his 30th. year, he suffered a stroke that brought him to a hospital for a year and left him paralyzed. The stroke led to his senses of smell and taste becoming heightened, while he simultaneously recognized the importance of everyday rituals. He realized that the small things in life had a significant impact on his well-being and desperately sought products that he could emotionally connect with and that offered him a sense of refuge.
